Sterling K. Brown is Hosting ‘SNL’ So We May Finally Get a ‘This Is Us’ Parody
Since Sterling K. Brown and the rest of the This Is Us cast seem to enjoy bringing us to tears every Tuesday it’s only fair that they provide us with some laughs as well, and that’s exactly what Brown intends to do when he hosts Saturday Night Live on March 10th.
Brown announced the news on Twitter along with the reveal that his musical guest will be James Bay

Despite being the show that everyone’s talking about and the biggest rating hauler on NBC at the moment, Saturday Night Live has yet to do a skit about This Is Us, and if you’re a fan of the show you know that there’s a lot of potentially hilarious material there. So, hopefully, Brown’s appearance will finally provide us with the long overdue sketch about America’s obsession with the Pearson family.
This is truly a dream come true. I’ve watched @nbcsnl since I was a baby. To finally get to host is one of the more surreal moments of my life, but it’s gonna be awesome. #SKBSNLpic.twitter.com/uSPyxQQ3p2

While the entire cast of This Is Us is incredible, Brown is in the midst of a career uprising with copious awards for his portrayal of Randall Pearson in addition to his recent role in Black Panther, which as we’re sure you already know just had one of the most successful opening weekends of all time. Also, by hosting SNL you’re eligible to be nominated for an Emmy in the Oustanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series category, which means that Brown could potentially be walking away with 2 Emmys this year because let’s face it – he’s definitely being nominated for This Is Us again.
Saturday Night Live is currently on hiatus for the Winter Olympics but will be returning on March 3rd with host Charles Barkley and musical guest Migos. Will you be tuning into Brown’s episode?

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
