Stephen Amell Shares Story of Being Mistaken for ‘NCIS’ Actor

Stephen Amell has played the role of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow on The CW’s Arrow for the past six years, but that apparently doesn’t mean he always gets recognized as such.

Amell candidly and in good nature revealed a case of mistaken identity with another DC superhero that happened to him while he was out for some drinks. The bartender in question emphatically asked him if he was Chris O’Donnell who played Dick Grayson, a trusty sidekick and youthful ward in Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. O’Donnell currently stars in NCIS: Los Angeles and has since 2009.

The bartender went on to assume that O’Donnell starred in the series Arrow, not Amell. Having previously worked with O’Donnell on an episode of NCIS: LA, the actor took it in stride and intimated on the pleasant working relationship between the two DC superheroes.

Arrow is back in production for the seventh season with the premier set to be well into editing by the time they are done with the sizzle reel which is highly anticipated by fans curious to know what happens to the Green Arrow who just stepped down as Mayor of the city and got sentenced to life in jail at the end of the sixth season.

We recently got a glimpse of the cast while they gathered together for a table read.
