Stephen Amell discusses: Olicity, the ‘Arrow’ fanbase, and ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’

Stephen Amell recently interviewed with show host, Larry King, on Larry King Live Now and discussed a variety of several topics pertaining to his rising career. One of the main topics that was discussed, was the future of ‘Olicity’. When Arrow first started, Felicity was not even considered as a love interest for Oliver. Now, ‘Olicity’ has gotten a strong fan-base of its own, with the hastag Olicity (#Olicity) flooding social media. One fan on Twitter has even gotten pop figures of both Felicity and Oliver, and has began posting photos of these pop figures together in various places, making it look as though Felicity and Oliver are taking their own little adventures.

Stephen also talks about how much he truly enjoys talking to fans who are genuinely passionate about Arrow. Lately, I have seen social media (Twitter in particular) blowing up with negative comments, but Stephen is the kind of person who does not let that stuff bother him. And, rightfully, he shouldn’t. In a world of eggs, he’s a tennis ball.  Arrow is clearly doing extremely well as far as ratings go, considering it has been renewed for a fifth season.

At one point, Larry King jokes about how Casey Jones (Stephen’s role in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadowsis a vigilante; and that Stephen keeps playing vigilantes. Stephen laughs, stating that when he first started making films, he kept playing murderers. I must say, it’s quite a nice change! Stephen’s performances have been absolutely spectacular, and I cannot wait to see him in his upcoming film, which will be released on June 3rd, 2016.
