The latest and greatest in the Star Wars adorable intergalactic creature craze is undoubtedly the Porg.  Ever since the first trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi hit the public’s eyes, fans have been going gaga over these adorable guys and they aren’t the only ones!

As it turns out, those close to the film love these little guys too. So much so, in fact, that film director Rian Johnson revealed today during a Facebook Live session that he was gifted his very own little Porg as a wrap gift from Neal Scanlan, head of the Star Wars creature shop.

In the live video, he told the film’s stars John Boyega, Laura Dern, Mark Hamill, and Gwendoline Christie:

“I got a Porg. An actual Porg, like the hand-feathered puppet… and they hooked it up to little levers so I can control its face and everything.”

Yup!  That feeling you’re experiencing right now is jealousy and we’re totally feeling it too! Fortunately for us all, we won’t have to wait too much longer to see these guys in action.  Fans will be able to officially meet Porg when Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15th!

If you could have one Star Wars creature from any of the franchise’s films, what creature would you choose?  Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below and you can also check out the full Facebook Live interview with Rian Johnson and the cast of the film below.
