During San Diego Comic-Con, at yesterday’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars 10-Year Anniversary panel, it was announced that the series will be returning for twelve episodes in 2019. The episodes will be made available through Disney’s streaming service. The panel, moderated by Nerdist’s Amy Ratcliffe, featured Dave Filoni, supervising director of the series; Athena Portillo, another producer; Kevin Kiner, composer of the series; Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka; and Matt Lanter, the voice of Anakin Skywalker. The upcoming episodes of The Clone Wars will be made available through Disney’s streaming service coming in 2019. Enjoy the trailer below.

The trailer starts off with the camera showing an assortment of clone trooper helmets, as voices of different clones were heard reciting phrases from throughout the series. Shortly after we see the helmets get wiped out by what appears to be a missile attack, we see six words that most likely took the breath away from the entire audience of the Comic-Con panel:

“A war left unfinished…. until now”

Then, we see Anakin and Rex followed by a newly designed Star Wars: The Clone Wars logo. After that, Anakin and Obi-Wan approach a hologram of Ahsoka who left the Jedi Order in the Season 6 finale of The Clone Wars. It should be interesting to see further interactions between the two of them, having once been master and apprentice. These episodes are being marketed with the hashtag, #CloneWarsSaved (poster pictured below). I really hope to see more of Padmé, as she’s one of my favorite characters in the entire Star Wars universe. What do you hope to see in the future episodes of The Clone Wars? Let me know in the comments below!
