Star Wars: ‘The Child’ aka ‘Baby Yoda’ Plush Toy Arrives!

Star Wars: The Mandalorian plush toy of ‘The Child’ that is also referred to as ‘Baby Yoda’ has arrived at WalMart.com. That’s the good news! The bad news is that you will have to wait a while for it to arrive in your home.
Baby Yoda has been a pop-cultural sensation since the debut of The Mandalorian on Disney+. It’s been used in countess memes, videos, and other forms of social media. Surprisingly, Disney and Lucasfilm did not have Baby Yoda merchandise readily available and may not have anticipated how popular it’s become. Last week, Disney rushed a line of t-shirt, bags and cellphone covers with Baby Yoda on them that were less than satisfactory.
The plush toy is described as, “This 11-inch The Child push toy will capture the hearts of Star Wars fans everywhere! Inspired by the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, the adorable figure.”
However, the link is no longer available when clicked upon and redirects back to the search. This leads us to believe that they received more orders than they can fill. Also, if you were able to pre-order the plush toy, it won’t arrive until May 24, 2020. That’s almost a half a year away!
Thank goodness that some amazing artists and creatives have been busy at work on custom Baby Yoda’s over on Etsy and other outlets. It doesn’t look like any licensed Baby Yoda toys or plush toys will arrive on shelves before Christmas.
What do you think of the Baby Yoda plush and are you willing to wait?

This is post P-90x. I’m saying I watched the videos. I’m not saying I participated. Born in my mom’s basement, I’ve stayed there to embody the stereotype. One day I will rise up… to the main floor of the house.
