In the first episode of The Book of Boba Fett, it became clear that being a new Crime Lord on Tatooine isn’t going to be simple. Those paying homage to Lord Fett had ulterior motives, and Mos Espa’s Mayor was unwilling to bow down.
Even so, we don’t yet know who the show’s main antagonist will be, and the nameless Mayor of Mos Espa doesn’t exactly sound like a heavy-hitter. However, there is one well-known adversary that would make a lot of sense as an opponent to Lord Fett: Solo: A Star Wars Story’s Crimson Dawn
Over the credits, Ludwig Göransson’s magnificent main theme for the program is played, which appears to be a melodic reference to John Powell’s Crimson Dawn theme from Solo. The following are the songs:
The Crimson Dawn would make a fantastic antagonist. While their strength has declined somewhat since Solo, we know they are still a significant force in the galaxy and would undoubtedly take advantage of Fett’s absence to expand their influence.
The return of Emilia Clarke’s Qi’Ra, who is now the leader of the Crimson Dawn, may also be on the cards. Qi’Ra and Fett have a long-standing feud that dates back to when she briefly stole the frozen Han Solo between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Fett vowed he’d murder her.
We’re hoping the second episode either confirms her arrival or adds more hints.
The Book of Boba Fett airs Wednesdays on Disney Plus.
ABOUT Boba Fett
Boba Fett is a fictional character in the Star Wars series. He first appeared as the secondary antagonist in The Empire Strikes Back. He also appears at the very beginning of Return of the Jedi, but later has his armor removed and gets eaten by the Sarlaac.
He was a Mandalorian warrior who was recruited as an Imperial assassin during the reign of Emperor Palpatine’s New Order. Fett’s suit has been worn by many other bounty hunters, including Bossk and Dengar from “The Empire Strikes Back” and Cad Bane from “The Clone Wars”.
Many actors have played the role of Boba Fett in Star Wars. The first actor who portrayed the character was Jeremy Bulloch in the original trilogy, but Temuera Morrison wore the suit for advertising purposes and John Morton portrayed him during a flashback in Revenge of the Sith. In addition to these three actors, Daniel Logan played Fett in Attack of the Clones and various episodes of The Clone Wars while Hayden Christensen played him at the end of Revenge of the Sith.
