It’s been an exciting past few days for Star Wars fans since the franchise launched its second Force Friday event this weekend. The event released a ton of brand new merchandise from the Star Wars films including the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi and fans flocked to stores and online websites to scoop up all the new goodies they could buy. It appears that one fan, however, got a pretty unique collectible item from the day’s events.
On Saturday, Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill shared a hilarious photo of an unfortunate misprinted action figure of his character. The photo shows a Luke Skywalker Black Series action figure with one tiny detail which is slightly off – his left eye! Hamill captioned the photo saying, “Laugh it up, Fuzzballs- Wish I had one… this anomaly is probably worth a bloody fortune!” Check out the tweet below:

Hamill’s probably right. Star Wars memorabilia is highly collectible and abnormalities, such as this one, can make merchandise truly a one-of-a-kind item. Regardless of worth or collectibility, fans on Twitter had a field day responding to Hamill’s tweet and cracking jokes about the misprint. Even Gary Whitta, the screenwriter for Rogue One, got in on the comment action. He appropriately dubbed the name of the figure, “Before first coffee Luke.”
“Before first coffee Luke” is now canon.

Another fan noted that a figure in Ireland was also printed with a unique abnormality. An action figure of Rey from The Force Awakens was released missing a hand. Fans immediately began to panic thinking this may be a spoiler from the upcoming film. Could this figure possibly reveal that Rey loses her hand just like Luke Skywalker did in Empire Strikes Back? Probably not but, it was enough to make fans wonder.
