Luke Skywalker’s Green Lightsaber Explained

In the latest issue of the Star Wars comic book series, Luke Skywalker‘s self-built lightsaber is revealed to have a green blade. This is a significant change from the blue blade that he used in the original trilogy, and it has left fans wondering why the color was changed.

The comic book provides a possible explanation for the color change. In the issue, Luke meets Dr. Cuata, a mysterious expert on kyber crystals. Dr. Cuata explains that the color of a lightsaber blade is determined by the kyber crystal that is used to power it. He also says that the color of the crystal can be influenced by the Force.

When Luke first meets Dr. Cuata, he is struggling to connect with the Force. He is also having difficulty repairing his lightsaber, which has been damaged in battle. Dr. Cuata suggests that Luke use the Force to connect with a kyber crystal in order to heal it.

Luke does as Dr. Cuata suggests, and he is able to heal the crystal. However, when he does so, the crystal turns green. Dr. Cuata does not offer an explanation for why this happens, but it is possible that the color change is a sign of Luke’s growing connection to the Force.

It is also possible that the color change is simply a practical decision. In the original trilogy, Luke’s lightsaber was blue. However, in the Return of the Jedi, he uses his lightsaber in broad daylight on Jabba’s barge. The bright blue sky would have made it difficult to see the blade, so the filmmakers may have decided to change the color to green.

Whatever the reason for the color change, it is a significant development for Luke Skywalker. The green lightsaber is a symbol of his new identity as a Jedi Knight. It is also a reminder of his connection to the Force and his growing mastery of it.
