You are reading this right! They just started filming at the beginning of this year and it seems crazy that the movie will finish its production on such a short time. But, it seems that Mark Hamill, our Luke Skywalker itself, has announced that Star Wars: Episode VIII will end its production on July 22. This is something he announced on Twitter, when a fan asked if he could give the fans something about Episode VIII.
It wraps on Friday July 22nd 2016 #LooseLipsSinkStarships #W8ForVIII #DontBeAHomer #PatienceMyPadawans #Rogue1Sooner https://t.co/92syo6m36d

Star Wars: Episode VIII will hit the theatres on December 15, 2017 and it seems it will be ready well on time. But first, we still have Rogue One: A Star Wars Story to look forward to on December 16, 2016!
