Whenever I head out to the theaters to see the latest Marvel movie one question on my mind is where Stan Lee will make his appearance in the film. No matter how you may feel about the film itself, everyone enjoys a brief and humorous appearance of the man, the myth and the legend himself on screen.
In a recent interview with The Los Angeles Daily News, he talked about why it is he enjoys doing these cameos so much:
It’s fun. For about 12 seconds, I feel like I’m an actor. Every kid wants to be an actor. When I was a kid, I thought, ‘Oh, it’d be great to be like Errol Flynn. I want to be an actor.’ So I do my cameo. For that brief period, I’m an actor
Perhaps I am the only one who does this, but every single time I’m watching a Marvel movie and he pops up on the screen I find myself tapping the person next to me and then stating ‘there he is!’.
Stan Lee’s cameos have ranged from being an MC at a Strip Club in Deadpool to being an informant for The Watchers in the most recent Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
His next cameo appearance is said to be in Spider-Man: Homecoming, (to which he wouldn’t disclose ANY details about how he is in there) which swings into theaters today. He will also make an appearance in Thor: Ragnarok and in Avengers: Infinity War.
