Space Jam: Warner Bros Cancels Pepé Le Pew Over Rape Culture. Won’t Appear Again in Future Projects. Fans React!

The latest victim of cancel culture is now the Looney Tunes’ love-drunk skunk Pepé Le Pew, who will not be making an appearance in the upcoming Space Jam: A New Legacy.

A New York Times columnist blasted the character recently for glorifying ‘rape culture’ and now, as a result, Le Pew has been dropped from Space Jam: A New Legacy.

Warner Broscancelled Pepé Le Pew completely. Not only will he not be in Space Jam 2, but he won’t appear in any further television shows from the studio.

The character’s scene was never completed for the film.  However, now it appears that the character may never appear again in a Warner Bros project.

The Hollywood Reporter wrote that Le Pew “is not featured in any current Warner Bros. TV projects and there are no current plans for the controversial cartoon skunk to return.” Sure, things don’t always stand the test of time and what was written or how a character was previously portrayed may not be appropriate.  But like all things, couldn’t they have just modified the character slightly and reintroduced him? It’s a cartoon character for goodness sake!

The news of the character’s removal from Space Jam: A New Legacy has Twitter now demanding change! And, the decision also has plenty of support too!

  1. Why is it that some writer from The New York Times or some other liberal publication gets to set policy for the entire nation? Talk about welding power with the pen.

  2. I personally think it’s ridiculous that people are actually going so far as judging a cartoon character as a rapist. Really?? You actually think children think about stuff like that? I grow up watching Looney Tunes and still don’t consider Pepé Le Pew a rapist. What a joke.
