The final season of Game of Thrones cannot get here quick enough! The anticipation of waiting to find out how one of the most epic series ever concludes is definitely beginning to drive fans crazy. Series star Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) is helping to put some anxious fans at ease in her recent interview with Digital Spy. According to Turner, fans won’t be disappointed, but they will be surprised! Turner said:

[row]”It really is so unpredictable the way that [the series] ends up. For me, without giving anything away, I was satisfied with how unpredictable the show’s ending really is.”[/row]

That’s good news for diehard fans who have enjoyed the series’ elements of surprise throughout the course of its 7 seasons so far. Turner continued to say that even those who have studied and disected the series in order to develop wild and crazy fan theories will still end up surprised and satisfied at the end. She continued by saying:

[row]”People have come up with so many fan theories about how it’s going to end, and who will end up where, and who will end up with who. It really is so unpredictable the way that it ends up. I’m very satisfied with that, and I think that the fans will be satisfied with that, too. Well, we hope. We’ll see!”[/row]

Turner also recently caused some commotion after getting a Game of Thrones-inspired tattoo which many fans thought was a spoiler for the series. The tattoo is of a dire wolf, the sigil of House Stark, with a quote underneath it which reads, “the pack survives.” Turner explained on the Late Late Show with James Corden that it’s merely a quote from the last season that inspires her.

The final season of Game of Thrones is sure to be the most epic yet! In addition to the eighth and final season, HBO recently announced that one of the potential Game of Thrones spinoff series received a pilot order from the network giving fans comfort that, though the original series might be coming to an end, there is still more story to be told once the final chapter of the HBO series airs.

The epic conclusion of the Game of Thrones series is expected to air sometime in 2019. No formal premiere date has yet been announced.
