The next chapter in the Star Wars franchise, Solo: A Star Wars Story is fast approaching, and while many don’t know how to feel about Alden Ehrenreich as a young Han Solo, the OG Han himself, Harrison Ford, has given Enrenreich his stamp of approval.
While having lunch last January, Ford advised Enrenreich to tell the crew of Solo that,
“He told him everything he needed to know, and that he couldn’t tell anyone,”
Ford later telling LucasFilm president and Solo producer Kathleen Kennedy that Enrenreich was a “really good kid.”
Kennedy also added that Harrison gave a “thumbs up” to the film’s script and praised the insight he gave to Ehrenreich.
“What [Harrison] did so beautifully for Alden was he talked a lot about what he remembered when he first read Star Wars, and what George had done with Han. Who the character was and the conversations he had for so many years with George about how that character developed. […] There were several times in the course of making the movie where Alden would actually recount some of the things that Harrison had pointed out. I think that was really, really helpful to him.”
Solo: A Star Wars Story hit theaters this Memorial Day.
