The trailer for the brand new live-action version of The Lion King aired at about 5:30 PM ET on Thanksgiving Day during the Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys Football game on FOX.
Next up came this gorgeous poster featuring Simba as a cub in his brand new CGI form.
In the trailer, we see his tiny furry forehead smeared with fruit juice, and then he’s held up by Rafiki all just like the original film. We then see a tiny paw standing in a bigger one.
In the official poster Disney has also released, he seems to be ready to explore and knows he has to fill his father’s role as King.
The Lion King stars Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner John Oliver, Keegan-Michael Key, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Beyoncé, James Earl Jones and is directed by Jon Favreau.
What do you think of the trailer?
Disney’s live-action Lion King hits theaters on July 19th, 2019.
