This adorable and heart- warming animated short film about a puppy, who is just a little different, is making its way around the internet today.
The film, ‘The Present’, was created as a student project in 2014 by Jacob Frey and Markus Kranzler in Ludwigsburg, Germany. It tells the short story of a boy who receives a gift box from his mother. Upon opening the box, he finds the gift is actually the most adorable little puppy. The boy is filled with excitement and joy at the sight of his new pal until he realizes the puppy only has three legs. Quickly tossing the puppy aside, the boy’s excitement turns to disgust and he goes back to playing his video games. Attempting to ignore the playful pup proves to be difficult and, we find out
there is more to the boy than we think.
‘The Present’ has run in over 180 film festivals and has won more than 50 awards internationally. Not only is the film highly praised but, it also opened doors for the filmmakers who now work at Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios in California.
