The actor, instead of continuing with the project, insisted on quitting.

Backing up his allegations, a video of Wilde allegedly pleading with LaBeouf to stay with the project was leaked online on Friday, in which she states that his departure would be a “wake-up call” for Pugh’s character, Miss Flo.

After the part was ultimately recast with her now-boyfriend Harry Styles, Wilde, 38, gave an interview to Variety this week where she slammed LaBeouf’s approach as “not conducive to the ethics that I demand in my films.”

28-year-old Mimi Keegan plays the role of Jack, while Florence Pugh is the main star and had some ‘tension’ with LaBeouf.

However, LaBeouf has now presented apparent evidence that refutes Wilde’s allegations, including an email he sent to the director and a video she sent him that was subsequently leaked online, demonstrating his abandonment of the film.

According to LaBeouf, he ended his involvement with the film on August 17th due to disagreements about rehearsal time. He provided evidence of this by forwarding two emails that he sent Wilde.
