Shazam 2: New Costume Revealed In Set Photos! Uhhh… Why Is There No Cape?

Shazam was one of the rare DC movies that didn’t get completely destroyed by critics. In fact, fans and critics both thought it was pretty awesome. Now the new costume is revealed in set photos, featuring Zachary Levi in the new outfit.
Shazam was a ray of hope amidst a bunch of dark, gritty DC films. Where films like Man Of Steel and Batman V Superman went completely dark, Shazam was… kind of funny. We hate to make this comparison, but it actually reminded us of a Marvel movie.
New has been slow for Shazam! Fury Of The Gods, but we’ve gotten a first look at the new costume revealed in set photos. We should all give a big thank you to Just Jared for sharing these sweet pics with us.
The new costume is pretty slick and features a different belt and gloves. The lightning bolt on the chest doesn’t seem to be glowing, but the weirdest part is there is no cape. I wouldn’t worry too much, we have no doubt the cape will be there. It was probably getting in the way of filming!

This picture was actually taken today, meaning the actors are hard at work. They’re filming in Union City, Georgia and the cast and crew seem like they’re having an awesome time. We can’t blame them, being Shazam must be awesome.
Filming probably isn’t too far along though, we suspect there’s a lot left to be filmed. The movie isn’t supposed to come out until 2023, though, so they have a lot of time. Hopefully, the film makes it out on time!
If you’re just too excited for another DC film, there is one right around the corner for you! Suicide Squad is hitting theatres and HBO Max this August.
