‘Sharknado’ Franchise Ending after Number 6
The next installment of the Sharknado series will sadly, be the last.
The franchise swam into our hearts, and pop culture history, back in 2013 when the first shark cyclone touched down in Los Angeles. The success of the film brought many sequels: Sharknado 2: The Second One (2014), Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! (2015), Sharknado: The 4th Awakens (2016), and Sharknado 5: Global Swarming (2017).
The official Twitter account announced yesterday that the final film will release in August.

There is no word on an official title yet, so for now, the film is tentatively titled Sharknado 6. That being said, fans have decided to come up with some titles of their own.

Tara Reid, Ian Ziering, Vivica A. Fox, and Cassie Scerbo are set to return for the final film, which will feature time travel, Nazis, dinosaurs, knights, and Noah’s Ark. Ziering’s character, Fin Shepard, will have to go back in time to undo the damage the sharks have done to the world.
