While Shameless fans were ecstatic to hear that Cameron Monaghan would be returning as Ian Gallagher for season 10, they couldn’t help but wonder what that meant for his boyfriend and fan-favorite Mickey Milkovich, played by Noel Fisher. The last viewers saw of the couple they were both serving time together in prison.
Well, leave it to Shameless to give fans what they want in the most hilarious of ways. Last week it appeared as though a harmless Noel Fisher stan had hacked the show’s official Twitter account, renaming it Bring Mickey Back and spamming its followers with an insane amount of Mickey Milkovich/Noel Fisher content. The “hacker” had even changed the bio to read “this is my page now!!! return @noel_fisher to shameless and ill leave you alone.”
As fans got a kick out of the hacking and the innocent nature of it all, it was soon revealed that Showtime and Shameless were actually the ones behind the hacking. The account eventually changed its name to say “Shameless will return with Noel Fisher” confirming that they were the ones behind the brilliant publicity stunt and that Fisher would be officially returning as a series regular for season 10.
They also released this video of Fisher pretending to spoon his way out of prison.

Are you excited to have Mickey back for season 10? What do you hope is in store for him and Ian? Let us know!
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
