Have you ever wondered what it takes to become an internet sensation? Are some of these memes staged so perfectly that we can’t tell real from fake, do you have to be at the right place at the right time, or is it necessary to have friends and family that like to document everything surrounding you at all times?
For some people/situations turned memes, the answers vary, but for a little girl named Chloe, it was an honest reaction to learning that she was going to Disneyland that wasn’t exactly what we’re used to seeing.
While her sister Lily was so surprised that she cried, Chloe just looked like she’d not just heard the coolest news in the world. Her reaction was circulated online as everything from small video clips to still shots of her facial expression; many people could relate to Chloe, just – usually not about something as exciting as Disney.
Since the video went viral (and it wasn’t the first Disneyland surprise) the family saw a jump in their YouTube subscribers but they’ve not really done anything differently. They record everything from other surprises, the girls singing songs, trips they take, and little moments within their day to day lives.
Recently, E! reported that the family went on vacation in Brazil and Chloe is still as big of an internet sensation there as she is here. If not more so, there are pictures of Chloe at the Google building there and everyone absolutely adores her.
“WE ARE HERE IN BRAZIL!!! Hello!! #saopaulo #google #chloe #hi #lily #katie #david,” the family unit shared on Instagram while posing in front of Google ads featuring Chloe’s unforgettable and unimpressed face. “Google is amazing! Chloe loves seeing herself on the elevator door and all over #saopaulo! You have a beautiful city!”
They got to tour the Google office, they were invited out to a party, and the girls look like they had the best time in the world. Their Instagram account is full of photos from this trip, and we’re sure they’ll be posting a video soon of Chloe reacting to seeing her younger self all over the Google office.
Have you used Chloe’s meme as a reaction of your own? Did you love the video when you first watched it? Let us know.
