Secret Invasion: Samuel L Jackson Reveals Nick Fury’s New Look in Behind-the-Scenes Set Photos

Nick Fury has a distinct appearance in the new set photos from location filming on Marvel’s Secret Invasion, which feature Samuel L. Jackson.

The most recent television program to be recorded is an adaptation of the renowned comic book story arc titled “The Infiltration,” in which Earth’s Mightiest Heroes discover that the shapeshifting Skrulls have covertly invaded the planet.

However, the theater will be smaller in scale, removing the Avengers and replacing them with the former head of S.H.I.E.L.D himself instead.

Fury will be a bit different from when we last saw him. The Secret Invasion filming is currently taking place in Leeds, England, and these images from the set show actor Samuel L. Jackson with a shaggier, greyer beard than usual as well as a cap and casual civilian attire.

To date, Fury’s last (live-action) appearance was in the Spider-Man: Far From Home post-credits sequence, in which he was seen vacationing in space while leaving Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos to impersonate him on Earth.

Fury will be forced to leave retirement when the danger to the world is revealed, so it appears that Mendelsohn will co-lead Secret Invasion with Jackson. This may go a long way toward explaining his less-than-perfect appearance in these photos.

The Marvels, aka Captain Marvel 2, has already been shot and will bring back Carol Danvers (played by Brie Larson) to reconnect with her old buddy in the present day. It’s possible that the Secret Invasion premiere will act as a lead-in to WandaVision’s Teyonah Parris and Ms. Marvel Iman Vell

As for Secret Invasion, Jackson and Mendelsohn are joined by a terrific ensemble cast including Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Christopher McDonald, and Kingsley Ben-Adir.

The series will arrive on Disney Plus sometime in late 2022 or early 2023.
