Sebastian Stan Shares ‘Warning Labels’ for Bucky Barnes and The Winter Soldier

Have you ever had an encounter with someone and immediately wished you’d seen a warning label beforehand? You could meet someone incredible and not have been expecting it or meet someone…less than incredible and wish you’d avoided the coffee shop that particular afternoon. It goes both ways.

Since warning labels for people aren’t automatically a thing, we’ve usually got to figure it out all on our own, unless of course, we flat out ask someone. So when Sebastian Stan was in St. Louis this weekend, he was asked about warning labels. Specifically for Bucky and the Winter Soldier.

As we all know, the two personas within James Buchanan Barnes are different but have similar threads, and how could they not? So it’s no surprise that their warning labels are just that, different, but with a similar thread.

For Bucky, Sebastian says he channeled ‘cocky’ when taking on the character. He’s suave, he’s handsome, and he’s confident – so we get it. When you’re walking around with the swagger that he’s got, well, it’s to be expected.

In terms of the Winter Soldier, he got a bit frank with his label. ‘Stay away from me’, he responded, and rightfully so. With just a few words, he can be turned into a killing machine. However, there’s still a piece of him somewhere that stays grounded, there’s some part of him that prevents him from falling victim to the mission completely.

So, we aren’t exactly sure we’d heed that warning, but we appreciate it nonetheless.

You can see Sebastian in Avengers: Infinity War on May 4th.
