When Sebastian Stan took the stage for his packed panel at Wizard World Comic Con in St. Louis, fans were excited to have the floor to ask him some questions. Especially where his role as both Bucky Barnes and the Winter Soldier is concerned.
While future projects were blacklisted, his work that fans have seen was open territory and fans wanted to know what he loved most about playing these roles.
One fan asked Sebastian about a skill he picked up on the set of a movie, any previous movie, and wondered if he still used it now. He immediately said fighting and then responded with errr…not in real life. The audience had a good laugh but he got serious again because he said it’s been an awesome experience, he can’t compare it to anything else.
It makes sense that Sebastian says that. If you look back at any Marvel film, you can see how much training goes into pulling off the stunts and scenes they take part in. The fight scenes especially take a lot of control and training. Both of which Sebastian says is a choreography.
Sebastian also talked about stuntmen and how he wished he could do their work. Especially because they seem so unaffected by the fact that at any given moment they’ll be pummeled through walls or taken to some crazy extreme.
In fact, one of Bucky’s scenes in Captain America: Civil War is one of his most talked about in the entire film. Not that we even need to post it for you to know what we’re talking about, but we will because it’s one of our favorites too.
Now, we give credit where credit is due but we’re content believing that that was all Sebastian.
You can see more of Sebastian as the Bucky Barnes / the Winter Soldier in Avengers: Infinity War on May 4th.
