Sebastian Stan Discusses the Hardest Marvel Secret he’s Kept – So Far

When Sebastian Stan took the panel stage at Wizard World Comic Con this weekend, fans were given one rule when it came to asking questions. Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 were off limits topics. Everything else, however, was fair game.

So no time was wasted when the crowd applause calmed down and the first fan stepped up to the mic. Sebastian was asked immediately if there was any moment during or between Captain America: Winter Soldier and Civil War that was incredibly hard for him to keep secret.

His response led us to pull up his Instagram and find a photo he took in 2013.

‘The thing is I took that picture with Iron Man’s helmet on the Winter Soldier set that they had lying around and I did that without knowing that we were ever going to do Civil War. I actually said I’m gonna send this to Kevin Feige and give him some ideas and I had this picture and then we ended up doing Civil War and I couldn’t post it for two years!’

The fan then asked if Sebastian had any friends who didn’t know he was in Captain America and he both laughed and sounded embarrassingly serious when he said a friend called him and told him that he was in Civil War.

‘My friend called me and told me I was in Winter Soldier, I was like what are you talking about? They just announced the title of Captain America at Comic-Con and it’s called Winter Soldier.’

Looks like Tom Holland isn’t the only one totally in the dark when it comes to secrets of the MCU.

You can see Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier in Avengers: Infinity War on May 4th.
