Season 4 of ‘Stranger Things’ Most Costly Show in History

With an enormous budget, Netflix is raising the stakes for Stranger Things season 4.

According to The Washington Journal, Netflix has offered $30 million per episode for the new season of Daredevil. That figure comes to a staggering $270 million when you consider there will be nine episodes. This demonstrates how much faith Netflix is putting in the new season of the show, and it may presage an even more visually stunning season.

The budget of every Game of Thrones episode is $15 million. By the end of the eighth season, it had collected more than $15 billion in worldwide box office receipts. It established the bar for high-quality TV programming, but other shows are swiftly catching up.

Amazon Prime Video’s forthcoming Lord of the Rings: The Power of the Rings will have a reported budget of $1 billion for its five seasons, so we’ll just have to wait and see what the final number is for Stranger Things once it wraps up its last season.
