SDCC 2019: Watch the First Teaser for Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’
The cast of The Witcher took the stage at San Diego Comic-Con’s iconic Hall H on Friday and delivered the first trailer for the highly-anticipated upcoming series. The series stars Henry Cavill and is based on the best-selling novel series by Andrzej Sapkowski.

The Witcher will also star Freya Allan (Into the Badlands, The War of The Worlds) in the role of Ciri, and Anya Chalotra (Wanderlust, The ABC Murders) in the role of Yennefer.
Netflix’s The Witcher will be an 8-episode series. Alik Sakharov (House of Cards, Game of Thrones), Alex Garcia Lopez (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Utopia), and Charlotte Brändström (Outlander, Counterpart, Disparue) will direct. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s The Defenders, Umbrella Academy) is the showrunner and will also executive produce along with Sakharov.
The logline for the upcoming series is as follows:
