Led by Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick, the SDCC panel included Scott M. Gimple and showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg. Executive producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert, and Greg Nicotero were also on stage. Cast members Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Maggie Grace, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Austin Amelio, Jenna Elfman were also present.
Fear the Walking Dead first premiered as a spinoff to AMC’s breakout hit The Walking Dead back in 2015. It followed the events that happened prior to Rick Grimes waking up from his coma, showing the early days and chaos of the apocalypse. Since then, there have been a couple of crossovers, including the move of Lennie James (Morgan) and Austin Amelio (Dwight) from TWD to Fear. The series has been well received by critics and audiences alike and a sixth season seems right on par with the story currently being told! Are you excited for Fear to return for season 6?
Fear the Walking Dead will air its mid-season finale this Sunday, July 21 and will return for 5B in August!
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
