SDCC 2018: Jason Momoa Makes a Splash in the First ‘Aquaman’ Trailer

DC Fans, it’s finally here! The first publically released trailer for the highly-anticipated Aquaman solo film was revealed today during Warner Bros. San Diego Comic-Con Hall H presentation and it is absolutely glorious! From Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, without further ado, feast your eyes on the first trailer for Aquaman:

After his first appearance in 2016’s Batman V. Superman and 2017’s Justice League, Jason Momoa reprises his role as Arthur Curry (aka. Aquaman, half-human, half-Atlantean and King of the Seven Seas, ruler of Atlantis). The film also stars Amber Heard (as Mera), Patrick Wilson (as the villainous Orm/Ocean Master), Temuera Morrison (as Tom Curry), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (as Black Manta), Nicole Kidman (as Queen Atlanna), Dolph Lundgren (as King Nereus) and Oscar-nominee Willem Dafoe (as Nuidis Vulko).

Aquaman is directed by James Wan, best known for his work on The Conjuring and Insidious films. This is Wan’s first dip into the superhero world. He also directed Furious 7 which ended up being the top grossing film of the Fast and Furious franchise. Peter Safran is producing along with Zack and Deborah Snyder, Rob Cowan, Jon Berg and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.

Aquaman will splash down into theaters on December 21, 2018.
