Scarlett Johansson Finally Hangs Out with her 72 Year Old Doppelgänger

It was a little over a month ago when the internet learned that Scarlett Johansson had found a strikingly accurate doppelgänger of herself in 72 year old Grandma Geraldine.  Johansson learned of Grandma Geraldine after a picture originally posted by Reddit user denverjoel showed an old photo of his grandmother which was taken when she was 22 years old and, apparently “drunk as a skunk”.  Johansson finally viewed the photo after numerous people had reached out to her telling her she needed to see it for herself.  After she saw the photo, Johansson reached out to the grandmother through a video posting because, well, the resemblance was just too perfect.  Check it out!

In her video, Johansson invited her doppelgänger grandma to be her guest at the Rough Night premiere and, of course, that invite included grabbing drinks as well since Johansson said, “I would like to see your drunk face.  I want to share a drunk face with you. Let’s have a drink, Geraldine.”

Well, that meet up actually happened!  Johansson and Grandma Geraldine walked the red carpet together at the New York premiere of Rough Night last week and, yes, they went for drinks as well.  Check out the awesome photo from the red carpet:

Johansson shared her story with Stephen Colbert in an interview on The Late Show.  In the interview, Johansson talked about how she discovered the photo on the internet and how she was shocked how much the two woman looked alike.  After connecting with Geraldine and meeting up at the Rough Night premiere, it would seem that Johansson is making herself part of the family.

Johansson told Colbert:

“She was such a nice woman, though.  Honestly, it was wonderful to meet her. She’s from Arkansas and her daughter, of course, owns a bar and so — and I will eventually make my way to Arkansas and continue this family reunion. She’s just awesome.”
