Let’s head back to the Max.
Mario Lopez took to Instagram to give fans the first look at the upcoming Saved by the Bell reboot. The video featured Lopez and his costar Elizabeth Berkley on the set of the iconic diner as they prepared to film a promo for NBC’s newest streaming show.
On Friday, it was announced that Lopez and Berkley’s former costar Mark-Paul Gosselaar would be joining them in the Saved by the Bell revival as his original character Zack Morris.
Tiffani Thiessen, who played Zack’s girlfriend and later wife Kelly Kapowski, is also in talks to reprise her role on the reboot. Lopez and Berkley will be reprising their roles A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano.
The reboot will explore the fallout when Zack, now governor of California, gets into trouble for closing too many low-income high schools and proposes the affected students be sent to the highest-performing schools in the state, including Bayside High.
A premiere date for the Saved by the Bell reboot has not been announced.
This is post P-90x. I’m saying I watched the videos. I’m not saying I participated. Born in my mom’s basement, I’ve stayed there to embody the stereotype. One day I will rise up… to the main floor of the house.
