Meeting a hero, idol or favorite celebrity can be exciting, exhilarating and nerve-wracking. Especially when you don’t even know that it’s about to happen and the moment takes you completely by surprise!
That’s exactly what happened to Sarah Paulson at Tuesday night’s Met Gala Red Carpet. The American Horror Story actress was walking the glamorous and elegant red carpet press line and was completely minding her own business. She stopped to pose for photographers, did a few interviews and then stopped and posed some more. Little did she know, however, that right behind her, was an epic fangirl moment waiting to happen. The below series of photos tell the whole story!
You see, in the photo below, Paulson is showing off her sleek, midnight blue silk satin Prada gown which landed her on several “Best Dressed” lists for the night. Paulson was unaware of who was lurking right behind her (because of the craze associated with the red carpet. Not because the camouflage from the camp dress was actually effective).
When Paulson turned around, she couldn’t believe her eyes and entered full-on ultimate fangirl mode! Madonna had been posing for photos just on the other side of the carpet and Paulson, appropriately, freaked the hell out. Just look at her face! That really says it all.Photo: Met Gala – Getty Images
She proved celebrities get totally star-struck, just like us normal folk do. Paulson couldn’t pass up the opportunity to actually talk with her idol. She gained her composure, pulled herself together and went over to, playfully, ask to hold Madonna’s netted shawl. Really, it just looks like she was having the time of her life, in that moment.Photo: Met Gala – Getty Images
Just look at Paulson, beaming from ear to ear in this somewhat awkward and yet totally adorable photo of the two celebs. This is pure perfection!Photo: Met Gala – Getty Images
