Samuel L. Jackson Talks Superpowers with James McAvoy’s Multiple Personalities in New Clip from ‘Glass’

Are you ready?

In one week, M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass will be hitting theaters, and on Wednesday, Fandango shared an extraordinary clip from the upcoming film.

In the below clip, we see Samuel L. Jackon’s Mr. Glass and James McAvoy’s multiple personalities engaged in an intense conversation. McAvoy shines in the below footage, bouncing from one character to the next, really showing his scale of talent. The conversation ultimately ends with McAvoy’s Hedwig personality (a 9-year-old boy) asking Mr. Glass about his superpowers. The entire scene is shot in one, continuous panning shot, showing off Shyamalan’s incredible filmmaking skills and adding to the drama of the scene.

Glass will be the epic conclusion to Shyamalan’s previous films Unbreakable and Split. The official synopsis for the film reads as follows:

Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast. Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

Glass will hit theaters on January 18, 2019.
