Safelite Unhappy With SNL’S “Cracks” At Their Expense

So apparently Safelite AutoGlass didn’t appreciate the SNL’s wise “cracks” (get it wise cracks sorry) during the parody in Saturday Night Live episode hosted by Gal Gadot.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Safelite AutoGlass was really unhappy with SNL’s digital short parody mocking their widely popular commercials.

In a pointed Twitter response “Thanks for the skit,” the tweet begins. “Although we can take a joke this one was a step too far. Our techs are our heroes. #notcool.”

Safelite Unhappy With SNL'S "Cracks" At Their Expense

In the usual SNL manner, they took the company ad and tried to build it around humor. Which they seemed to have failed at. SNL actor Beck Bennett portrayed a Safelite AutoGlass technician who looked like the actor in their video. However, he went from friendly technician to creepy guy after the mom and daughter’s windshield is cracked a second time and he starts hitting on the young daughter then the mom. The skit ends with the mom beating the tech up and driving away.

Sadly, this is just one of the bad reviews that came from this past Saturday night’s episode. The episode has been marked so bad that even “Wonder Woman” couldn’t save it. Gal Gadot aka ‘Wonder Woman’ hosted SNL for her first time, spoke Hebrew AND made out with Kate McKinnon and still, the fans did not enjoy the episode. I guess it was a hard crowd to “break”.
