It’s getting exciting in the Arrowverse, as we now officially have our first Batwoman! Ruby Rose, will be suiting up as Batwoman. The Australian is known for her role in Orange Is The New Black, Pitch Perfect 3, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and John Wick 2.
She will make her debut in December when The Flash, Legends Of Tomorrow, Arrow and Supergirl will have their crossover event at The CW. Not only will we see her in the crossover event, but The CW is also working on a Batwoman TV series about a young woman named Kate Kane, that will debut in 2019. Kate Kane is known for her passion for justice and has a way of telling people exactly what she thinks. She’s an out lesbian that is a trained streetfighter stopping crime in the dark streets of Gotham. Before she becomes the beacon of hope as she’s known to be, she first needs to figure out her demons.
Caroline Dries is reported as the writer and executive producer for the tv show. Geoff Johns who stepped down as the head of DC Entertainment will act as the executive producer next to Caroline Dries. I think what The CW is doing is a step in the right direction. The CW is known for their wide diversity in their shows, seeing that Sarah Lance is sporting for both teams. Batwoman is the ultimate addition to the Arrowverse, expanding The CW’s diversity in representation.
