Ross Marquand on If Red Skull Will Appear in ‘Avengers 4’

Fans are a little Marvel deprived at the moment, with Avengers 4‘s trailer release nowhere in sight. Walking Dead creator sat next to Ross Marquand after the series’ mid-season finale Sunday, where they got talking about his character’s new bionic arm.

Marquand says at first glance he though his new arm resembled the Infinity Gauntlet. After a couple jokes about whether they can talk about Marvel on the show, Kirkman asked the golden question. “Will you be in Avengers 4?”

Marquand portrayed Red Skull in Avengers: Infinity War much to the delight of Marvel fans. The last we’d seen him was in Captain America: The First Avenger. There, he’s vanished mysteriously in a cosmic portal that Tesseract opened. He went to Vormir, and planet in which he guarded the Soul Stone.

When Thanos took the stone, his reason for existence is again in question and the Russo brothers have hinted at him now being free enough to find the Infinity Stone again. So, it’s likely he would fit in well in Avengers 4, the completion of Thanos’ taking over the world story.

Of course when it came to Marquand answering the question, he was tight lipped.

“I don’t know. I can’t answer that question. I really don’t know.”

Marquand’s role was beginner and small in Infinity War, so it’s likely he is trying to play it as safe as possible for the MCU.

Do you think Red Skull will appear again?
