‘Roosevelt’: Dicaprio to Star, Scorsese to Direct Biopic

The team of Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are at it again! According to Variety, they are both said to be in negotiations with Paramount Pictures to produce the biopic, Roosevelt, centering around the 26th president of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt.
Along with starring in the film, Dicaprio will produce with Scorsese, Jennifer Davisson, Emma Koskoff and Chuck Pacheco. Scott Bloom is set to write the script.
The DiCaprio/Scorsese relationship goes way back. The two have worked on a number of films together beginning with Gangs of New York to their last film, The Wolf of Wall Street. The duo is currently collaborating on a few more films in development including Killers of the Flower Moon and Devil in the White City.
Portraying Teddy Roosevelt should not be a stretch for DiCaprio. They both share a passion for environmental issues and preservation.
