A new teaser has been released by Paramount Pictures featuring the making of Rocketman, the Elton John biopic, showing that Taron Egerton is, in fact, singing in the new film. An official poster has been released as well.
The film – which will be released on May 31st, 2019 – follows fresh on the heels of the astounding success of the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. While it remains to be seen whether Rocketman will find the same success, it is certainly likely as Elton John has had a varied and extremely wild career which should make for an interesting film, especially since early trailers show that Rocketman will not be afraid to dive into the mind-bending indulgences of the era. You can view the new teaser below:
It seems fitting that an Elton John film will finally be released this year, seeing as he is currently in year two of his three-year Goodbye Yellow Brick Road farewell tour. Here’s hoping the film is a fitting tribute to an entertainment legend!
