As Gryphons and Gargoyles seems to suck Jughead and the team further and further in, we’re getting a sneak peak at next week’s episode.
It’s titled ‘Manhunter’, and is the 6th episode of season 3.
After Archie’s triumphant and bloody escape from the Juvenile Hall that Hiram Lodge had him sent to, he’s sure to be met with obstacles.
It shows Archie back with his love Ronnie, but he’s obviously got other things on his mind. In the clip, he says he can’t go back to Riverdale. This is most likely because he’s being searched for Hiram himself.
The group is still haunted by the extremely terrifying “Gargoyle King”, who looks like a demonic creature you’d find in the woods over in Greendale. (I’m talking to you, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina).
We see a few clips of Archie, Jughead and Kevin in the woods as well. Jughead wonders about a symbol he finds written in several places. Joaquin seems to know, and tells him it means “Sacrifice.”
It’s blatantly apparent now that the game has a hold on almost everybody in town, and is mimicking real life.
Betty confronts her mom Alice yet again to tell her that she needs to reveal the entire truth about that night. (The epic night in which The Breakfast Club of Riverdale AKA the parents, took the game too far.)
Will we finally learn what really happened that night in the 80s? Will the kids free themselves from the grips of the Gargoyle King who wreaks such havoc? Will Archie and Veronica ever be able to go back to their blissful lives?
We’ll find out some answers next Wednesday night when Riverdale airs again on The CW.
