Puddles Pity Party Wows ‘America’s Got Talent’ Judges and Audience with a Haunting Rendition of Sia’s ‘Chandelier’

When someone walks out onto the stage on America’s Got Talent in a seemingly crazy looking costume, it’s pretty much a crap shoot as to what type of actual talent you are going to get.  Over the years, however, fans of the show have certainly learned not to be so quick to judge.  From the beautifully sung rendition of Les Miserables’ I Dreamed a Dream by Susan Boyle (technically, this was Britain’s Got Talent but, still), to the weirdly captivating  talents of Tape Face to the 82 year old grandpa who totally rocked Bodies by Drowning Pool to the totally rhythmic dancing Storm Troopers, fans have learned never to judge a book by its cover or, a performer by his/her appearance.

That’s why, when Puddles first graced the stage, the crowd was suspicious but willing to hear what the sad clown had to say (or didn’t say since he didn’t really speak).  Puddles has a sad story.  He has a broken heart but, the America’s Got Talent judges tried their best to lift his spirits.  Seemingly, their efforts worked because, when Puddles began to sing, he captivated the entire theater.

Puddles stunned the audience and judges alike when, much to everyone’s surprise, he opened his mouth to sing and a beautifully, classically trained baritone voice filled the room.  He totally crushed Sia’s Chandelier.

Now, to some of us (:::raises hand:::) Puddles is a household name.  He’s been around for several years and, most recently has collaborated with a group named Postmodern JukeBox on several tunes.  In fact, just about a month ago, PMJ released a new YouTube video featuring Puddles singing Blink 182’s All The Small Things.

Puddles’ vocals, both in the AGT and PMJ videos, is truly beautiful and strangely haunting, especially since he’s dressed as a clown.  As someone who suffers from coulrophobia, I am surprisingly in love with Puddles Pity Party and you will be too after you watch the videos below!
