Promos for Chris Evans Reading a CBeebies Bedtime Story will Melt Your Heart!

After a crazy, bad day, there’s nothing better than coming home, throwing on some pj’s, curling up on the couch or in bed under your favorite snuggly blanket and listening to Captain America read you a lovely bedtime story!

Last month, it was announced that Captain America and Avengers star Chris Evans would be partaking in the BBC’s CBeebies Bedtime Story series.  Chris follows the likes of Tom Hardy, David Tennant, David Hasselhoff, Isla Fisher as well as many others celebrities.  Judging by Evans’ promotional videos, his bedtime story is one you won’t want to miss!

In the below promo, Evans begins while holding his superhero teddy bear, “Another busy day helping people and saving the world.  Good work, Teddy!  Hi, I’m Chris. You know, being a superhero can really be tough sometimes. You have good days and bad days. And that’s what tonight’s Bedtime Story is all about.”

Evans will be reading Even Superheroes Have Bad Days, a children’s book written by Shelly Becker and Eda Kaban.  The book is written to help children cope when things aren’t quite going their way.  The official description on Amazon.com says the following:

When Superheroes don’t get their way,
when they’re sad, when they’re mad, when they’ve had a bad day . . .
. . . they COULD super-tantrum, they COULD but they DON’T,
because REAL Superheroes just WOULDN’T—they WON’T!

All kids have trouble getting a grip on their emotions, sometimes—even young superheroes! But what do they do when they’re having a bad day? Colorful action-packed illustrations and a dynamite rhyming text reveal the many ways superheroes (and ordinary children, too) can resist the super-temptation to cause a scene when they’re sad, mad, frustrated, lonely, or afraid. From burning off steam on a bike or a hike, to helping others, this energetic picture book has plenty of fun ideas to help kids cope when they’re feeling overwhelmed.

This actually sounds like it may be helpful in an adult’s life as well.  Chris Evans’ story will air on CBeebies on Wednesday, May 10th but you can check out an additional promo right now for his story below:
