Paul Wesley to Team Up With ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Creator for New Freeform Show

2017 might have marked the end for both Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries but Freeform is finding a way to bring both of those shows together with a new project. PLL creator and showrunner I. Marlene King and TVD’s favorite brooding vampire Paul Wesley are partnering up for a new show called Tapped for Freeform and it sounds like it’s going to be awesome.

Self-dubbed Pretty Little Liars meets The Social Network, Tapped is based off an unpublished memoir by Andrew Shaffer (How To Survive A Sharknado) and will follow three graduate students who create a hookup/dating app called Tapped. It’s an overnight success, turning them into instant millionaires, but with an app of that nature, new and unexpected dangers will appear that the three of them will have to try and control. Thomas Brandon will be writing and co-executive producing the project. He has done several short films, is a produced playwright and former Nicholl Fellowship semi-finalist. He also developed Transience at the CW last season.

I. Marlene King developed, executive produced and ran the ABC Family/Freeform hit drama Pretty Little Liars, which ran for seven seasons on the network. She is also working on the new Pretty Little Liars spinoff titled The Perfectionists, which was picked up by Freeform. Paul Wesley starred as the lovable and good-hearted moral compass Stefan Salvatore for eight seasons where he also directed and became a producer.

Be sure to keep checking back on for more information on Tapped as it becomes available! What do you think of the new show? Is it something you would consider watching?
