The classic 1964 version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer has become a staple of Christmas. Every year, families all around the world gather together and watch the stop-motion story of one of the holiday’s most beloved characters. Now, and for a hefty price, you could even own a piece of this classic film.
Lutrario is selling both puppets, which he says were restored in 2007, with an asking price of $10 million. At the time of writing this article, the listing had 10 inquiries and over 950 people watching the auction.
The listing reads:
“You are viewing and enjoying the Actual screen used Puppets used in the 1964 Production of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. These Puppets were restored to New like condition in 2007.”
He claims they are one-of-a-kind and are the only surviving props left from the set of the Christmas film. For those who are wondering, the puppets do comes with stands, Rudolph’s nose does light up and shipping costs are free for the lucky winner of the auction.
