Nyssa al Ghul Lives! Katrina Law to Make Her Arrow Return

The Season Five finale of Arrow found Oliver joining forces with an unlikely bunch in order to take on Adrian Chase who had kidnapped everyone that Oliver cared about. Nyssa al Ghul was a member of this team and following the destruction of the island, her fate was unknown. But now, we finally have the answer. Nyssa is alive and well and is coming back to Star City to deliver some bad news.

According to Executive Producers Wendy Mericle and Marc Guggenheim, Law will reprise her role for a single episode. This episode will be “unforgettable” and change the course of Arrow forever.

“Nyssa comes to Star City to warn of an impending danger that will threaten everything we know and love.”

Law is set to return in the 16th episode, which is entitled ‘The Thanatos Guild.’ The title of the episode could offer some clues as to what danger is coming. In Greek mythology, Thanatos was the personification of death. Oftentimes he is referred to as the god of non-violent death. In the realm of DC, Thanatos is a dark reflection of Aquaman who would steal people’s identities and make them commit heinous crimes. Both sound pretty dangerous and show-changing.

Nyssa isn’t the only fan-favorite to return in Season 6 as Colton Haynes is reprising his role as Roy Harper, a.k.a. Arsenal, for a short arc beginning in the 15th episode.

Arrow airs Thursday nights on The CW.
