Nostalgia Alert! ‘Double Dare’ Returning to Nickelodeon
You didn’t expect Nickelodeon to not get in on the TV reboot and revival game, did you? The network just announced that they will be bringing back their epic ’80s and ’90s game show Double Dare for 40 new episodes this summer! Check out the nostalgia-filled teaser below.

The original series, which was hosted by Marc Summers, aired from 1986-1993 and would have two teams of kids competing against each other in rounds of trivia, obstacle courses, physical challenges, and of course, an abundance of the network’s signature slime!
Expect the show to bring back all of that fun but on a bigger and better scale. Plus, some contestants from the show’s original run will be making their triumphant returns in addition to all new competitors. However, Summers will not be returning to his role as host and the network is expected to bring in an all-new face.
Looks like summer just got a whole lot slime-ier! What are your thoughts on Double Dare coming back to TV?

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
