It’s easy to see that when Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan met, they instantly hit it off. What many people may not know is that they first met when they were around 20 or 21 in Los Angeles, often running into each other at shows. Their relationship grew stronger when Morgan joined the cast of The Walking Dead and now, they’re inseparable.
So it came as no surprise to us when we found out that Morgan would be joining Reedus on this season of Ride with Norman Reedus. The big question was when the episode would air, and we think everyone was as thrilled as we were to find out it was the season 2 premiere.
Morgan and Reedus explored the beautiful country of Spain on their journey, but what was more incredible was the bond they shared with one another and some of Reedus’ old friends.
The sights were beautiful, the road was long, the food looked delicious and the drinks were perfect. Seriously, that sangria looked incredible and those monuments and murals and the gunpowder and firework shows. We were inspired just watching the episode.
However, what we’ll remember most from this episode is a quote Reedus made about ‘usually waxing poetic’ to explain how he felt and how cherished moments were, but this time, words wouldn’t have done it justice.
They indulged in the city in every sense of the word, and they shared a part of their relationship that we’ve not seen in that capacity before. They often joke with one another, but the genuine love and brotherhood between them was the focus of this one.
In cities as beautiful and meaningful as the ones they found themselves in, we think the mood fit perfectly.
Some people are meant to cross your path in life, and some are meant to change your path, in a good way. They’re a show of that.
At the end of the episode, Norman said something that we can all relate to.
‘Life is fluid…The only constants that exist are in your mind.’
‘…but I knew him’
