Mark Your Calendars for the Premiere of Noah Centineo’s Next Netflix Moive

One can only watch To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before on Netflix so many times before it becomes excessive. Thankfully, Noah Centineo’s latest Netflix rom-com is just around the corner and it may have us saying Peter Kavinsky who?! The streaming service cheekily announced on social media that The Perfect Date, which teams Centineo up with Riverdale’s Camila Mendes and Austin & Aly’s Laura Marano, will premiere on April 12th.
The post plays on Miss Congeniality’s iconic scene in which Cheryl Frasier says April 25th was her perfect date as opposed to her perfect romantic evening.
The Perfect Date stars Centineo as Brooks Rattigan, a high school student trying to raise money for college by creating an app where he plays the role of “stand-in” boyfriend for a variety of situations. Through the journey of being a different person every night of the week, he finds out that the real Brooks Rattigan isn’t who he thought at all and to his surprise starts to fall for the girl of his dreams. Netflix released some swoon-worthy photos back in January.

Much like To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Netflix acquired The Perfect Date from Awesomeness Films, so it will have that same amount of Kavinsky charm that we all fell in love with last year. The film, which was directed by Chris Nelson, will also star Trinket‘s Odiseas Georgiadis and Veep‘s Matt Walsh. Steve Bloom and Jack Randall penned the script.
The Perfect Date hits Netflix on April 12th!
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
