Nielsen Social Ratings: October 16 – October 22

A little late, but we’ve got a new week’s worth of Nielsen Social Ratings!

It may have returned with series lows, but The Walking Dead took the top spot with over 2.5 million interactions. A Saturday episode of The Walking Dead also earned a spot on the top 10, coming in at number eight.

WWE also took two spots on the weekly top 10, scoring the number three and four spots. WWE’s Pay-Per-View event, TLC: Tables, Ladders, & Chairs, came in at number three with 781,000 interactions. Monday Night RAW came in at number four with 399,000 interactions.

Riverdale and This Is Us also made the top 10 this week. The CW series beat out NBC’s family drama, coming in at number nine with 241, 000 interactions while This Is Us came in at number 10 with 221,000 interactions.

As a refresher: the Content Ratings use the total number of social interactions across Facebook and Twitter to rank the top 10 series/specials and sporting events, separately. The chart includes uniques, which are “unique social media accounts that have authored original content related to a linear TV episode or engaged with that content,” and interactions, which are “original social media posts related to a linear TV episode and the engagement with that content.”
