Nielsen Social Ratings: January 23 – January 29

Last week’s Nielsen social ratings are in!
Three of the four nights of The New Edition Story on BET dominated the top three spots, mirroring top cable ratings. Sunday night’s SAG Awards on TNT, which gave viewers endless quotable and gif-able moments, came in at number four.
Two-thirds of TGIT’s return, Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy, made the top ten. Grey’s came in at number seven while Scandal‘s season six premiere came in at number five.
As a refresher: the Content Ratings use the total number of social interactions across Facebook and Twitter to rank the top 10 series/specials and sporting events, separately. The chart includes uniques, which are “unique social media accounts that have authored original content related to a linear TV episode or engaged with that content,” and interactions, which are “original social media posts related to a linear TV episode and the engagement with that content.”
