Nick Cannon, the entertainer who has fathered 12 children with six different women, reflects on his unique family situation and believes that it aligns with a higher purpose. In a podcast interview with Dr. Laura Berman, Cannon shared his belief that his visions and manifestations from God have guided him towards having a large and influential lineage.

Cannon explained that his visions regarding fatherhood were often fragmented, but he interpreted them as a sign that he would be a father to many. He drew parallels to the biblical story of Abraham, who was promised by God to become the father of many nations. Although Cannon acknowledged the lack of absolute clarity in his visions, he embraced the idea that the more children he has, the greater their collective impact and influence could be.

Furthermore, Cannon discussed his aspirations for leaving a meaningful legacy, differentiating it from mere progeny. He emphasized that true legacy lies in making a positive impact on the world, such as building hospitals, educational facilities, and contributing valuable literature and content. Cannon expressed his desire to be remembered as a thinker, a doer, and someone who genuinely cared about people.

Regarding the circumstances surrounding his children, Cannon admitted that having eight children under the age of three was not planned. He mentioned that many of the women he has been involved with were either using birth control or had not intended to conceive at the time. He attributes the occurrences to miracles and believes that such matters are in the hands of a higher power.

While Cannon acknowledges that his partners’ pregnancies were not entirely planned, he refrains from attributing everything to God, citing past controversies arising from his comments on the topic. He stated that only God can determine when he is done having children, as he cannot predict the future. Cannon reflected on how unexpected his current situation would have seemed to him a decade ago, considering his lupus diagnosis and marital status at the time.

Cannon’s 12th child, Halo Marie, was born in December to Alyssa Scott. He has children with Mariah Carey, Brittany Bell, Abby de la Rosa, Brie Tiesi, and LaNisha Cole. Cannon expressed his dedication to prioritizing his children and acknowledged the challenges of being fully present in each of their lives, but he stated that he strives to be effective in his role as a father.

Ultimately, Nick Cannon embraces the unique circumstances of his fatherhood journey and believes that it aligns with his purpose and the visions he has received.
